This is the fandom journal for

kyanve, for fanfiction, fanart, random lit geeking about fandom things, commentary, RP-rambling, icons, and dorking out. I will possibly put more effort into prettifying it later. All of my icons are made by me unless otherwise noted; I'm not overly fussy about credit on fandom icons, but if you want to use them and credit, credit this journal.

I will answer to Birdy or Kyanve; I am a 26 year old student soon-to-be graduate at the University of Alaska Anchorage, majoring in English with a Rhetoric focus. On that front, I have a fascination for the Romantics, keep meaning to read more Nietzche, and sometimes identify as Goth Lite.

I have been gaming since I could read, starting with D&D and NES-Zelda, and am also a bit of an anime geek. I have a special soft spot for weirdness, including stuff dabbling in re-interpretations of mythology and folklore, playing with occult ideas, and general strangeness.

As far as fandom things, I will forewarn:
I do not really fangirl ships/slash/etc. beyond what's obviously and clearly in canon, nor do I have any interest usually in going for adult material. If there -ISN'T- a very clear and obvious canon relationship and you bounce into an RP I'm in expecting favored-ship to be a foregone conclusion IC'ly, you are probably going to be disappointed! I reserve the right to maintain character responses as in-character to canon, my understanding of them, and any RP-specific character development as possible, uninfluenced by OOC chatter; I will take concrit, but I will not change behavior patterns/relationships/etc. to cater to one "OTP" or another if I feel it goes against the grain of canon writing and the way the character's developed.
